Ventun Giugno: Una domenica di mare come piace al Circolo Nautico Rapallo

L’edizione di quest’anno ha interpretato perfettamente questa filosofia. Una ventina di imbarcazioni a vela e altrettante a motore hanno animato lo specchio acqueo antistante il Circolo in una giornata caratterizzata da sole splendido e da un vento leggero, talvolta capriccioso, ma sufficiente a consentire lo svolgimento della manifestazione.

Particolarmente significativa è stata la partecipazione di soci, amici e ospiti provenienti da realtà sportive vicine, accolti in un contesto volutamente aperto e informale. La veleggiata non aveva carattere agonistico ma, come spesso accade tra persone che amano il mare, la voglia di fare bene non è mancata. Così esperienza, tecnica e passione si sono mescolate in una navigazione che ha visto fianco a fianco equipaggi di diversa provenienza ed età.

Tra le imbarcazioni presenti figuravano alcuni nomi ben conosciuti nell’ambiente nautico ligure tra cui: “Tabu j” di Maria Raimondo prima classificata della classe fino a mt 8,99”

“Ginger Tripp” di Diego Zamorani vincitrice della classe da mt. 9,00 a mt 12,00

“Aria” di Preda Azzimonti prima nella classe da mt. 12,00 a mt. 14,00

Rispettando largamente il pronostico La vittoria assoluta in tempo reale è stata di “ Ginger Tripp” del nostro vicepresidente Diego Zamorani .

Accanto alla vela si è svolta la tradizionale Prova di Regolarità delle imbarcazioni a motore, disciplina che continua a suscitare crescente interesse e partecipazione. La manifestazione ha rappresentato non soltanto un momento sportivo, ma anche un’occasione per valorizzare quelle competenze di conduzione, precisione e sicurezza che costituiscono parte integrante della buona cultura nautica.

Barche a motore : la prova è vinta dal bel gozzo di Riccardo Squattriti e Davide Galbiati con un formidabile tempo che ha azzeccato al secondo esatto il tempo di percorrenza dichiarato . Grande abilità tecnica di conduzione.

L’organizzazione in mare, Barca comitato e disposizione del campo di regata: perfetta come sempre.

Particolarmente apprezzato il momento conclusivo della prova di entrambe le categorie, che gli organizzatori hanno voluto alleggerire con un test finale all’insegna del sorriso: il recupero di alcune bottiglie d’acqua collocate su piccoli Optimist utilizzati come insolite “isole galleggianti”. La riuscita della cattura nella fase di taglio del traguardo conferiva abbuoni . Un esercizio che ha richiesto precisione nelle manovre e una certa agilità degli equipaggi, suscitando divertimento tra concorrenti e spettatori.

Il Circolo opera da sempre sotto l’egida della Federazione Italiana Vela e, negli ultimi anni, ha sviluppato con crescente convinzione anche le attività legate alla nautica a motore. La gradita presenza del Delegato regionale della Federazione Italiana Motonautica Cristian Speciale ha rappresentato un importante riconoscimento per il lavoro svolto nel promuovere competenze nautiche, sicurezza della navigazione e corretti comportamenti in mare.

Alla fine della giornata le classifiche hanno naturalmente trovato il loro posto; premi costituiti da confezioni di birre di pregio di un noto produttore genovese . Resterà a lungo nella memoria dei partecipanti l'atmosfera vissuta a terra dopo il rientro. La premiazione, ospitata davanti alla sede del Circolo Nautico Rapallo, è stata accompagnata da una merenda particolarmente ricca e sfiziosa, autentico omaggio alla tradizione conviviale ligure e da una generosa mescita di eccellente birra artigianale alla spina che ha contribuito a reintegrare con successo le energie consumate sotto il sole. A giudicare dai numerosi "bis" richiesti dai presenti, l'operazione di reidratazione può considerarsi pienamente riuscita.

 L'edizione 2026, che ha segnato il 75° anno della vita del Circolo si archivia quindi come una delle più riuscite degli ultimi anni: verrà ulteriormente implementata già dalla prossima stagione in cui il Circolo Nautico di Rapallo continuerà nella sua detterminante presenza nel tigullio .

June Twenty-First: A Sunday at Sea Just the Way Circolo Nautico Rapallo Likes It

There are days when the sporting result almost takes second place to what happens around the boats. The traditional Club Sailing Event and the concurrent Regularity Trial of our Club were created precisely in this spirit: to offer an opportunity to sail together, share experiences, pass on knowledge, and experience the sea as a place of encounter even before it becomes a place of competition.

This year’s edition perfectly reflected that philosophy. Around fifteen sailing boats and just as many motorboats animated the stretch of water in front of the Club on a day marked by brilliant sunshine and a light, at times capricious, breeze—yet sufficient to allow the event to take place.

Particularly significant was the participation of members, friends, and guests from nearby sporting clubs, welcomed in an intentionally open and informal setting. The sailing event was not competitive in nature, but, as often happens among people who love the sea, the desire to do well was certainly present. Experience, technique, and passion thus came together in a sail that brought crews of different backgrounds and ages side by side.

Among the boats present were several well-known names in the Ligurian nautical scene, including “Tabu J” by Maria Raimondo, first classified in the class up to 8.99 metres.

“Ginger Tripp” by Diego Zamorani won the class from 9.00 to 12.00 metres.

“Aria” by Preda Azzimonti placed first in the class from 12.00 to 14.00 metres.

Broadly confirming expectations, the overall victory in real time went to “Ginger Tripp”, owned by our Vice President Diego Zamorani.

Alongside the sailing event, the traditional Regularity Trial for motorboats also took place, a discipline that continues to attract growing interest and participation. The event represented not only a sporting moment, but also an opportunity to highlight those skills of handling, precision, and safety that form an integral part of sound nautical culture.

Motorboats: the trial was won by the beautiful gozzo boat of Riccardo Squattriti and Davide Galbiati, with a remarkable time that matched the declared travel time to the exact second. Great technical skill in handling the boat.

The organization at sea, the committee boat, and the layout of the regatta course were, as always, perfect.

The final part of the trial for both categories was especially appreciated, as the organizers chose to lighten the mood with a final test full of good humour: retrieving water bottles placed on small Optimists used as unusual “floating islands.” Successfully catching them while crossing the finish line granted time allowances. It was an exercise that required precise manoeuvring and a certain agility from the crews, much to the amusement of competitors and spectators alike.

The Club has always operated under the aegis of the Italian Sailing Federation and, in recent years, has also developed with increasing conviction its activities related to motorboating. The welcome presence of the Regional Delegate of the Italian Powerboating Federation, Cristian Speciale, represented an important recognition of the work carried out in promoting nautical skills, navigation safety, and proper conduct at sea.

At the end of the day, the rankings naturally found their place, with prizes consisting of selections of fine beers from a well-known Genoese producer. What will remain long in the memory of the participants, however, is the atmosphere experienced ashore after returning. The prize-giving ceremony, held in front of the Circolo Nautico Rapallo clubhouse, was accompanied by a particularly rich and tasty snack, a true tribute to Ligurian convivial tradition, as well as by a generous serving of excellent craft draught beer, which successfully helped replenish the energy spent under the sun. Judging by the many requests for second helpings, the rehydration operation can be considered a complete success.

The 2026 edition, which marked the 75th year in the life of the Club, can therefore be filed away as one of the most successful in recent years. It will be further developed as early as next season, when Circolo Nautico Rapallo will continue to play its decisive role in the Tigullio area.
